From last night's Springsteen concert at the spectrum! These are crappy iPhone pics, but oh well. The tank top guy in the bottom picture provided me with hours of laughter :)

Drexel President Constantine Papadakis passed away last night.  He will be missed tremendously by everyone who knew him.

Trainspiration

This morning, while on my daily train ride to work, I had the urge to take random pictures out the window.

This in itself is nothing new.  If you know me well, you'll remember my photography-obsessed phase, during which I took pictures like crazy and posted them all to Flickr.

At some point, though, my standards got too high, and I got frustrated.  I didn't always have the time to use my fancy-schmancy camera.  I got impatient with the process of slowly uploading them, touching things up in Photoshop if necessary, tagging them properly, and hoping people on Flickr said nice things about them and didn't think I was a horrible photographer.

It was time-consuming, so I started doing less and less of it.  And I didn't want to upload those raw, in-the-moment images I take sometimes that are lower quality, but more reflective of ME and my hugely exciting life, because I didn't want people to judge my talent based on them.

But, I still want to take those pictures.  And I still do - I just don't share them, really.

I like words a lot, as you can see, but hopefully this will be the wordiest post on this blog.  While I've created many other blogs, this will be my first and only photoblog.  (Well, some of the images may not be photos... I might actually share some other art too.) Sometimes I'll post good photos.  Others, I will post low-quality iPhone or webcam shots.  I hope some of you like them.  If not, I'll enjoy posting them anyway.

So......  that's what I'm doing here.  I'd love comments from anyone who bothers to look at this.

Thanks so much for reading/looking.
